🚩 General Updates

  *   Return from Fall Break Testing<https://safeandhealthy.osu.edu/information/faculty-and-staff/testing/student-testing-program?utm_source=sfmc&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=umar_faculty-staff-newsletter_fy22_oncampus-today-2021006&sfmc_id=42948609> – Ohio State will require COVID-19 testing before and after Fall Break for all students on the Columbus campus regardless of vaccination status.  Fall Break took place on October 14 and 15.  Students are asked to complete testing within 5 days of their arrival back to campus or return to on-campus activities.  Appointments for testing before and after Fall Break must be scheduled via MyChart<https://safeandhealthy.osu.edu/go.osu.edu/MyChartInstructions> as walk-ups will not be permitted.  Results are typically delivered within 24-72 hours.
  *   Covid-Related Updates
     *   November 15: Deadline to complete second dose of vaccine (for those having a two-dose vaccine)
     *   Report your vaccination: https://emphealth.osumc.edu/COVID

  *   Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship-for-Service Program<https://www.smartscholarship.org/smart?utm_source=MDRe1&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=SMART2022> – Applications are now open and are due December 1. The Graduate Associate Teaching Award is Ohio State’s highest recognition of the exceptional teaching provided by graduate students serving as Graduate Teaching Associates.  Any Ohio State student (undergraduate, graduate, or professional), faculty, or staff member may nominate a GTA.  Graduate students are also encouraged to nominate themselves.

The Child Care Access Means Parents in School Program, authorized by the Higher Education Act and administered by the U.S. Department of Education, supports the participation of low-income parents in postsecondary education through the provision of quality licensed, nationally accredited campus or community childcare services for children six weeks to 12 years old. CCAMPIS provides priority scheduling, evening childcare, life skills coaching, and referrals to university and community resources.
