Please feel free to share the GE Aviation Innovate information with your constituents. My contact at the company confirmed that postdocs are most welcome to apply, as well. You just need to have someone nominate you (likely your PI).

After running this successful and highly impactful event in the past, we are thrilled to announce the 2021 return and we are seeking your help in the nomination of your top MS or PhD female and underrepresented minority graduate student(s) in Engineering or Science who meet the criteria outlined in the attached call for nominations letter.



Nominations are due by July 15th.



What is Innovate?

  *   A 3-day event during which we will host female and underrepresented minority graduate students from a number of universities across the US.

When/Where is Innovate?

  *   Fall 2021, dates TBA.  Location is currently under review.  We are very hopeful to conduct this session in-person/onsite at our research facility in Niskayuna, NY, in October.



Who should attend Innovate?

  *   Graduate students (MS or PhD) with interest/building expertise in areas of Mechanics & Design, Controls & Optimization, Thermosciences, Digital Technology (AI/ML) Additive Manufacturing, Electric Systems, Materials and Biology & Physics or fields related to the aforementioned.
  *   Current enrollment not required – we will consider students who have recently graduated.  For enrolled students, desire ~ 18 month from graduation at most.



What will a student get out of attending?

  *   Learn about careers in the industry
  *   Meet some of the top technical talent in the US
  *   Participate in professional development sessions
  *   Network with other students from across the US





Feel free to spread this to your network on campus so we get the word out. Would love to see a bunch of Buckeyes attend.
