Dear Colleagues:



This message is to notify you of two important changes to the Graduate School Handbook that were approved during the April 13, 2021, Graduate Council meeting.



·         Effective immediately, the maximum number of graduate credits hours permitted in summer term will increase from 12 to 15. This change will apply to Summer 2021 enrollments. Changes have already been made to students’ records and should reflect the increase.



·         The content of Appendix C.2<https://gradsch.osu.edu/handbook/all#C-2> (i.e., “”Investigation of Allegations of Research Misconduct by a Graduate Student”) has been modified to align with the university’s revised Research Misconduct Policy<https://orc.osu.edu/files/Policy-FINAL-Research-Misconduct-20210301.pdf>. One important change of note is that the Graduate School Investigation Committee (GSIC) has been replaced with a new institutional Research Integrity Standing Committee (RISC). Please review both Section C.2 and the Research Misconduct Policy for more information.
