Dear CBE Graduate Students,

Congratulations on wrapping up the Spring Semester! Next Tuesday, May 14 at 1-2 pm in CBEC 430, we will have our final Teaching ChemE Journal Club for the academic year. This month's topic is Teaching Reflections: Strategies that worked and lessons learnt. Dr. Mandar Kathe will lead with his reflections on his second year teaching in the department, and then you are invited to share what you tried in your classes this year and how it went as a GTA or IA. You're also welcome to join to hear about some teaching practices or tips that you can add to your teaching toolbox. Please RSVP if you plan to attend or are interested in a future one: https://forms.office.com/r/qr1JXuCYdg

As it is a journal club, here is an article to consider (though we won't be discussing it explicitly during our meeting time): Parker J. Palmer (1993) Good Talk about Good Teaching, Change: The
Magazine of Higher Learning, 25:6, 8-13, https://doi.org/10.1080/00091383.1993.9938466

Kind regards,
Dr. Harmon
