As many of you know, the OSU NOBCChE Chapter is hosting our first NOBCChe Symposium! This will take place on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024, with a seminar given by our keynote speaker, Dr. Symone Alexander, from the Chemical Engineering Department of Auburn University.


Dr. Alexander obtained a BS in Chemical Engineering from Howard University in 2013, where she investigated DNA-polymer assemblies utilizing Atomic Force Microscopy under the advisement of Preethi Chandran and Joseph Cannon. She earned her PhD in Macromolecular Science and Engineering as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Case Western Reserve University, advised by Prof. LaShanda Korley. She was an Eckert Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Georgia Institute of Technology in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with Prof. Saad Bhamla.  She started her independent career at Auburn in 2021.

We would also like to give the opportunity to students and postdocs to give oral presentations of their research (10-20-minute time slots). Please fill out the following google form (which has abstract guidelines embedded in it) by January 16th.
