There is data entry for exp 5. Go to the same link you went to for the
exp 5 pre-lab.
When entering your unknown number you need to do it in the following way:
eqw-# (e.g. eqw-3333)
You need to include the "eqw-".
Be careful, you only get one chance at entering your data. You should
do all your calculations first before attempting the post-lab data entry.
This way all you need to do is enter your numbers.
If you have more than two trials in either part use only the two which
give the smallest % difference. This is graded for precision. You only
need to report the two best trials in the report and data entry.
The exp 5 post-lab data entry is used to grade your calculations, s.f.,
precision and accuracy. If you make mistakes for any of these things
using the on-line data entry program you must correct it for the report
(on the report sheet). The on-line portion is for grading purposes and
the report sheet is part of your official report. Since this sheet is an
official part of the report it should be done correctly or additional
points
may be deducted.
Again, use the Excel report sheet template found on Carmen (go to
the Exp 5, EQW module) for your report sheet in the report. It might
be difficult to type out the equations you need to show for the sample
calculations for page 32 (these are the sample calculations for the
molar mass based on the acid being mono-, di- or tri-protic) in Excel.
You can do these on a separate piece of paper in the report (copy
and paste the lines from Excel to a page in Word).
