Someone asked where to find the access code. I sent the following before the semester
started. It has instructions on how to find it.

Subject: accessing Mastering Chemistry and the eText

I've received a couple of e-mails from people who took 1210 or 1220 and whether you have to
purchase Mastering again.

Everyone has to purchase access to MasteringChemistry for Chemistry: The Central Science
15e. The e-Text comes free with Mastering. You can get access through CarmenBooks for a
very reduced cost. Most of you will get this automatically unless you opted out. However, you
don't really want to because it's very inexpensive getting it this way.

Instructions for registering, getting help and the publishers office hours can be found on our
Carmen homepage by clicking on the 'Welcome! Start here" under " in the red banner. That
takes you to the "Start of Term Tasks" page. This same page can be found in the "Getting
Started" module (from the "Modules" menu link).

Once there you'll see Register for "Online Homework and eTextbook". Please read the
instructions. The access code is there. There's a video if you have problems.

You get access to MasteringChemsitry on-line homework and the e-text via the
"MyLab and Mastering" tab in the menu. Once you get to the Pearson site you can purchase
a loose-leaf version if desired.

There are things available there already. I will send out more e-mail about the MC and
how I'm doing it.

Even if you have the e-Text from a previous semester and it's still available, you
MUST purchase the MasteringChemistry on-line homework again this semester.
The e-Text comes free with that. It may look like you have access this semester
due to your access from a previous semester but if you do it will disappear very
soon after the semester starts. This can cause problems with your access and
work you may have done already.

Okay, back to making the syllabus video.
