The final exam is May 1, the time is below for each lecture class. Make sure
you come to the correct time. The password for the exam is specific for each
class.

AM Lecture: 10:00-11:45 AM
PM Lecture: 6:00 - 7:45 PM

The review for the final is next Sunday, 4/30, 3-6. I announced this in lecture last
week and it's on my class webpage at the "Exams" link. .

I've had requests about how many questions are on the final and what percentage is
new material. That's on my web pages (Exams and Practice Exams) and at the
Practice Exams module on Carmen. There's more information at these links. We
don't give exact numbers and I'm not sure things are set in stone at this point anyway.
The final has 50-55 questions and 13-15% new material, Sections 23.1-23.4 (no
nomenclature from 23.4 and no questions about Crystal Field Theory (CFT) from
23.5-23.6) and 21.1-21.4.

There's a lot of stuff on Carmen at the Practice Exams module. Probably so much it
can be a little overwhelming. There are two Carmen practice finals. There's also
links for a practice exam covering only the new material and its solutions. Those can
also be accessed from my personal class webpages at the "Practice Exams" link.

There's some supplemental stuff at the bottom of that module that's mostly Sample
Exercises, Practice Exercises, Exam Prep questions, etc. from the textbook. That's
fine. However, and it may be more useful, you also have the sample quizzes you
can work again and for every midterm there are the 3 practice exams and the midterm
itself. Fix the things you missed but were close and maybe just made a little mistake
first. Leave things you still have no idea about until the end. Hopefully, there's not
too much of that. Realize there aren't going to be 10 questions over any single topic.
So don't get hung up on one or two things and not doing anything else, unless you
have nothing else to do. Ask me about it so we can cover it during the reviews.

I will record the review next Sunday since that's outside of class time and post it on
Carmen as I've done for the other reviews.
