Mastering and e-Text - clarification

Perhaps I worded things incorrectly about "purchasing" Mastering.

If you did not opt out of CarmeBooks you get access to Mastering for
"free".  The price is figured into your tuition/fees.  So you've already
paid for it.

Follow the instructions on Carmen for signing up.  You'll do this by
clicking on the Mylab and Mastering tab in the menu on the Carmen
course homepage.

If you log into your previous Pearson account you might have access
to our class materials.  However, that will be short lived.  It might
last a few weeks at best.  Then it will end and lock you out.

You need to sign up again using this semester's access code (as
given in the directions on Carmen).

If you opted out of CarmenBooks you will need to purchase access
to Mastering from Pearson or the bookstore.  It will cost you more.
