comments about Mastering access from the Pearson rep

I recently contacted our Pearson rep with a problem a student was having
and asked
them additional questions pertaining to access.  Here's what I found out.

1) If you took the class in F18 or SP19 you access should just carry
over.  If you took
it before F18 you'll have to sign up for Mastering again since it
is a different version.

If you took 1210 or 1220 in F18 or Sp19 at a branch campus you
might not be able
to access the current Mastering.  When you contact Pearson support
let them know
you were at a branch campus.  If they still can't help e-mail me
and let me know
what the problem is and you took this at a branch campus.

2) You should have 48-month access (at least to the e-text, I'm not sure
about MC).
There's a special Mastering course you have to enroll in to get
access after this semester.
You should receive an e-mail at the end of the semester about
this.  This will be useful
if you're planning on going on to graduate or professional school
and you have to take
a standardized exam.  You can still access the text for reviewing
the material.

3) Students can access Mastering through Carmen or though
www.pearsonmylabandmastering.com <http://www.pearsonmylabandmastering.com>
     (not www.masteringchemistry.com
<http://www.masteringchemistry.com>). You used to have to go through
Carmen but that is
     no longer the case.
