Midterm 2 covers 15, 16 and 17.1-17.2.  Titrations are NOT on this exam.
See the "Exams" link on my class web page for more info, especially which
book problems to do for sections 17.1-17.2.

There's ch 16 tutorial and homework review sets covering sections
16.6-16.10,
"ch 16 (16.6-16.10) Tutorials 2" and "ch 16b (16.6-16.10) Homework Review",
and 16.11, "ch 16 (16.11) Tutorials 3" and "ch 16c (16.11) Homework Review".
are due by 11:59 PM on Saturday, 2/23.  There's also some for sections
17.1-17.2
which are due by 11:59 PM on Sunday, 2/24.  However, you really need to
finish
these and the book ones before the review on Sunday.  That way you can start
looking at the practice exams.  You really shouldn't look at the
practice exams
until you've finished the homework for all the material covered on the exam.

The quiz keys for all the quizzes are posted on our class web page (not
Carmen).

There are blank quizzes there as well.  My suggestion is you take a quiz
from
another day (Monday recitation take Wed. and Fri. quizzes and vice
versa).  Give
yourself about 15 minutes instead of the normal 18 since you've already
seen the
questions and maybe looked at the answer key for the quiz you took.

The practice exams are on Carmen. Go to "Modules" in the course menu.  Then
to the "Exams" module.  There you'll find "Preparing for Midterm Exams:
Using
Practice Exams".  There's some instructions on how to prepare for the
exam and
use the practice exams.

Then click on "Midterm 2" at the bottom.  You'll find 6 practice exams.
That's a
lot and it can be rather overwhelming.  The ones listed as
CHEM1220_MT2_Practice_AU17,
CHEM1220_MT2_Practice_SP18 are the midterms from previous semesters.
The others are practice exams from Au17.

I've put the one which was my practice exam on my class web page at the
"Practice Exams
<https://asc.ohio-state.edu/zellmer.1/chem1220/pexams/pexam_1220.htm>"
link ( CHEM1220_MT2_Practice_RZ).  I did this in case
you can't reach Carmen for some reason.  These practice exams include
titration
questions from section 17.3 which you're not responsible for.

At the link above, I've listed which questions NOT to do on the practice
exams and how
much time to give yourself, essentially a little less than 2.5 minutes
per question.  Ideally
you should cover all the material first and then take these practice
exams as if they were
the real thing.  Print an exam and take it in a setting where you won't
be disturbed and
turn off notifications on your phone (better yet, put it away). Ideally,
take at least 3 of
the 8 practice exams as if they were the real thing and work the
problems on the others.
Try to get some of these done before the review on Sunday.  Have at
least one timed
exam done before then.  Try to get these finished no later than Monday
so you have
enough time to fix any lingering questions.

I've supplied worked out solutions and explanations for all the
questions on the
practice exam which was mine on my class web page.  You need to scroll
down the
page a little to find those.  These are included in the exam packet on
Carmen
corresponding to my practice exam (as one entire packet).

Don't forget, we have a review, Sunday, 2/24, 2-4 PM in 1000 MP.

If you don't like asking questions in front of others send them to me by
Sunday
morning.
