I received the following question from someone,
Doing lab 2, is the density of cyclohexane in the lab manual exact.
Meaning, do we count the 0.779 g/mL as having three sig figs or is
it an exact value that we do not count the sig figs.
Densities are always measured values and are never exact. Thus, their
s.f. can
affect the s.f. in your results and should be taken into account when
determining
the s.f.
