confusion over references in e-mails

Oops, I forgot to tell you how to set up your notifications
so you can get these via your e-mail account(s).
Click on the Account icon in the far left-hand bar. Then
click on your settings to include your e-mail address in
"Ways to Contact". Then click on "Notifications". You'll
see many things for which you can set various ways of
notifying you, including having it not send you anything
(which is probably the default). However, if you set things
so you don't get notifications for anything you need to make
sure you check Carmen for things.
Remember, Dr. Moga puts things up in announcements and
I send e-mail to help you through many of the more difficult
parts of the experiments and class. Reading these things can
be very helpful. One of the reasons I send e-mails which
sometimes contain similar info to what Dr. Moga provides is
because I know not everyone gets notifications from Carmen.
Also, I do sometimes provide additional information, both
via my e-mails and web pages.
