For your notebooks you should be using PEN and all data and information
taken during lab should be in the notebook and not the manual or another
sheet of paper Do NOT write anything that should be in the notebook in
the manual or on another paper, even if you intend to copy it to the
notebook before leaving lab. That is not allowed. Any information taken
during lab that is pertinent to the lab goes directly in the notebook.
Your reports can be typed but don't have to be. However, they should be in
PEN. Do NOT use pencil.
If you make a mistake in the notebook or report simply put a single line
through the mistake and write the correct number, unit, etc. next to the
data
crossed out. Do NOT erase. Do not scribble over the mistake. Do NOT use
whiteout.
We will deduct points for these things.
Remember, you MUST hand in the carbons at the end of lab. As I stated in
lecture and labs, and it's in the syllabus, you MUST sign and date each page
and have the TA sign and date the pages and you give your carbon pages to
the TA before leaving lab. If you do not do this you will have to
repeat the exp.
