[AFS_OSU] Upcoming Events & Help Needed!

Hope you had a good break and are staying warm in the bitter cold weather!  As the new year progresses, we are still plugging along and need to get some thing done in the foundry!


Our FIRST order of business is to get the AFS Central Ohio Chapter meeting that will be on Thursday, January 21st at 6-8PM at the Holiday Inn on North High Street in Worthington.  Dinner will be catered and is FREE for all students who attend!


The Central Ohio Chapter has also stated that they will pay for all students to join AFS if applications are turned in at this meeting.  So please fill out an application and turn it in to me ASAP or bring it to the meeting.  The application is attached!!


At this meeting we are will be presenting our progress since our last meeting, and the winners of the scholarship will be announced.


With this being said, our main point of progress will be the Speaker Award that we have been working on.  The design is close to finalized and we need to get down to the foundry to cast this ASAP so that we can present this to the Central Ohio Chapter.  For this to get accomplished we need as many people as we can to join in on this to try to get some simulation in MAGMA done, as well as a the actual casting.  Any amount of time you can put in for the club would be greatly appreciated.


If you have any time you can help the club out, please let me or Adam know.  This project has to be finished in 7 days!  So the timing is tight!


SECOND, we have a new website! Please visit http://u.osu.edu/afsatosu and see our new website!  It is still very raw and will need some help to get better.  If anyone has any suggestions for improvement, please let me know so we can make it as strong as possible.  Also feel free to share this with your friends to help spread the word about our club!  The more the merrier!
