[ACVM] EHDV in Cattle

At WADDL we test for EHD together with bluetongue virus in a duplex PCR reaction. In the past we've sporadically detected EHDV in cattle experiencing BTV-like disease. It would take some time to try to pull out the age range affected because the duplex PCR means both viruses come up in the same search.  

Our area experienced a bluetongue outbreak this year affecting deer (which took the biggest losses), sheep, cattle, and bighorn sheep.  

2014: five cattle tested, all negative for both BTV and EHDV.
2015: 27 cattle tested, 12 BTV positive, 0 EHDV positive.

We are just finishing up a manuscript on the 2012 and 2013 outbreak of Epizootic hemorrhagic disease virus in cattle in South Dakota.  We did not see any cases in 2014 or 2015.  In contrast to the Illinois cases (JAVMA 247:190-195, 2015) we saw almost 0 mortality.  However like the Illinois it was only seen clinically and serologically in adult animals.  Has anyone had any cattle cases in the last 2 years?  If you had experience with EHDV in cattle in the past, what was the age distribution?
