About OPEEP | |
OPEEP works to increase access to quality higher education for incarcerated and justice-involved individuals. We believe education is a practice of freedom, and we are invested in creating collaborative in-prison teaching and learning pathways. We are practitioners of intersectional Black feminist and decolonial pedagogies, and our project is committed to anti-racist, feminist, and decolonial teaching and learning as frameworks for that practice. We believe that quality education is a right regardless of one’s background, identity, or status.
