It’s been interesting to read this thread. When I was 15, I took a typing class in high school and still can type 50 words a minute without looking at the keyboard. There was one boy in the class. When people asked why I wanted to learn to type, I told them it was because I wanted to be a writer. I think the boy wanted to be a journalist. I earned money throughout college by typing for others (including the college offices), and of course I did go on to be a writer. One of the most useful things I ever learned.
