Dear VWoolf listserve members,

I am delighted to report that the current issue of the Virginia Woolf Miscellany, Issue 97 (Spring/Summer 2021) is now available online at: https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://virginiawoolfmiscellany.wordpress.com/virginia-woolf-miscellany-issue-97-spring-summer-2021/__;!!KGKeukY!iNWcGFlPq6gQG9LKXRaGGj-G0olHfj5iKA-CND6g5_K1ASKpIOjvHGMF4b377puv4e4$ . The Table of Contents appears on page 13. The issue is searchable and downloadable.

Issue 97 features the special topic “Virginia Woolf: Mobilizing Emotion, Feeling, and Affect," edited by Celiese Lypka. The special section features seven contributions (see the WordPress webpage for more information).

In addition, Issue 97 offers multiple “Truly Miscellaneous” contributions including the papers from “Archival Woolf,” the IVWS panel at the virtual 2021 MLA convention as well as six essays that address a broad range of highly engaging and informative topics. There are also seven fascinating book reviews in this issue.

As always, the issue also includes a range of calls for submissions (see the first page and the Table of Contents for more information or skim through the first 10 pages of the issue--the CFPs include the Angelica Garnett Undergraduate Essay Prize--submissions are due by 1 July 2022--as well as the CFP for the Louisville conference--submissions for the guaranteed Woolf panel should be sent to Emily Hinnov at emhinnov at yahoo.com<mailto:emhinnov at yahoo.com>).

The guest editors Valérie Favre and Shilo McGiff have invited contributors to submit on the topic of “Portmanteau Woolf” for Issue 99 of the Miscellany (page 9). Also, the Modern Archives Publishing Project is inviting collaborators (page 9).

The editors of a co-edited collection of essays for World Wide Woolf are seeking contributors who are exploring topics relating to Woolf across cultures and genres. As they state, “Organised in two axes, this international multi-authored collection will explore the poles of production and reception as part of the complex circuits from which many different Woolf images emerge” (page 10).

Issue 97 includes remembrances of Edward A. Hungerford, a Woolf scholar whose earliest contributions were published in the 1950s when Woolf in the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and the United States was categorized as a minor figure in the literature. (See pages 10-12).

The Miscellany now has five editors. The newest is Lesley Higgins. Those already on board are Martin Brick, Charlotte Fiehn, Celiese Lypka, and Cecilia Servatius.
