My OSU Honduras Student Capstone team is raising money for a "seed fund" that will amount to a small pool of capital to be drawn upon for the local construction of aquaponics systems, a sustainable solution to food insecurity in rural Central America that provides fresh, inexpensive local fish and vegetables year-round.  This multidisciplinary team is in the 2nd year of a 2-year effort that will stand up a small, Honduran-owned and operated business that installs and these systems with funds that are replenished through the repayment of loans that are completely administered locally through village women's guilds.
