[Sc-aquaponics] [Aqua-ohio] Tanks for Sale

Laura and fellow list serve readers,
For years many of us have watched listened and learned about this field of aquaculture and now aquaponics. Fascinating and certainly promising as it may be , there is one area i have not read or heard much about. Once a superb sea food item has been readied for market, what safe guard does the producer have in place to negate any claim that the sea food item produced is the source of some illness incurred by eating the sea food item? 

Recent articles regarding food safety make claims that some illnesses can be traced to the producer . What if along the way before consumption the sea food item wasn't either prepared correctly or perhaps came into contact with some other illness source?
