LAST DAY TO REGISTER!  2019 Community Engagement Conference
Friday, Jan. 11 is the last day to register for this year's Community Engagement Conference on the theme of Partnering for a Resilient and Sustainable Future, taking place Jan. 23-24, in the Ohio Union.  The conference will bring together a broad range of community engagement practitioners to share diverse ideas, engage in robust discussion, and actively develop networks to address complex questions related to sustainability efforts.

2019 Service-Learning Course Development Grants
The 2019 Service-Learning Course Development Grants are open!  The Office of Service-Learning supports the development of new and improvement of existing community-engaged courses through our annual grant program with awards up to $4,000 per course.  Any instructor at any Ohio State campus is welcome to apply. Applications are due Tuesday, February 5, 2019.

Resources and Opportunities
Save the Date and Plan Ahead for 2019 Global Service-Learning Opportunities
Three events in 2019 will focus on service-learning in the global context:

-        May 14-16: The University of Dayton is partnering with the GlobalSL Network to host an institute on Community-Campus Partnerships for Global Learning and Human Rights.  Look forward to a deep dive on local-global learning and regional work around the Sustainable Development Goals.

-        June 24-29: Michigan State University is partnering with Adanu to offer the 2019 International Symposium on Global Community-Engaged Learning in Accra, Ghana.  The event will feature an array of speakers and dialogue partners considering community-engaged global learning in West Africa.

-        Nov. 3-5: Clemson University is hosting the 6th Global Learning Summit: One World: Inclusion and Transformation in Global Service-Learning.
