Funding for service-learning course development
The Office of Service-Learning is now accepting applications for the 2018 Service-Learning Course Development Grants. These grants of up to $4,000 each support the development and enrichment of service-learning courses. Applications are due Wednesday, February 7.

Apply for or nominate someone for the University Engagement Recognition Awards!
On behalf of the university, the Offices of Outreach and Engagement, International Affairs, Service-Learning, Student Life, and Undergraduate Education recognize faculty, staff, students, and community partners with the University Engagement Recognition Awards program.  Awards will be given in the community engagement, international engagement, service-learning, staff, student, student group, and community partner categories.  A total of $17,500 will be awarded.  Applications or nominations are due Wednesday, February 28.

Albert Schweitzer Fellowships available

Community service-minded graduate and professional students are encouraged to apply for 2018-19 Columbus-Athens Albert Schweitzer Fellowships. Fellows partner with community organizations on year-long service projects to address social and health-related needs in Franklin and Athens Counties. Apply by Tuesday, February 13.  Encourage your students to apply!

Imagining America is a national consortium of colleges and universities that catalyzes change in campus practices, structures, and policies regarding public scholarship and creative practice. This issue of PUBLIC introduces, documents, and reflects on a range of imaginative digital and publicly engaged pedagogies and practices.

ESC 2018 call for proposals announced
The Engagement Scholarship Consortium seeks proposals for presentations on engaged scholarship in higher education, including research findings, innovative design and partnership models, proven community/institutional impacts, effective modes of community-engaged learning curricula, collaborative policy development and integration, and/or successful civic engagement practices. Deadline to submit is Friday, March 16, 2018.

IARSLCE 2018 Conference call for proposals deadline extended!
The International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement has announced that proposals are now being accepted for their 2018 conference in New Orleans, LA.  The conference will take place July 18-20 with the theme Just Research: Inclusivity and Intersectionality.  Proposals deadline has been extended to this Friday, January 26.
