Service-Learning Course List for Autumn 13 Now Available It is time to register for Autumn 2013 courses! The Service-Learning Initiative is excited to share that there will be over 30 service-learning courses available for students, including 18 S-designated courses. In order to help service-learning scholars make connections and learn about new projects, we will seek to highlight a new service-learning course in every newsletter. Shakespeare and Autism partners with the Nisonger Center  Nisonger Center researchers are trying to determine if teaching strategies based on Shakespeare texts can help children with autism become better communicators. This article discusses their partnership with the Shakespeare and Autism program, a service-learning Theatre experience that is led by Robin Root. National Conference on Diversity, Race and Learning The Annual National Conference on Diversity, Race & Learning (NCDRL) at The Ohio State University is one of the University's most comprehensive conferences that focuses on issues of diversity, cultural inclusion and acceptance. Participants can expect a multi-leveled examination of "diversity" as a concept, and its implementation within institutions of higher education, the corporate world, the religious community, the larger community and public service.
