Below are reminders on two events occurring this week that we wanted to make sure you were aware of. If you have questions, please feel free to get in touch!

Information session for Outreach and Engagement Grants - TODAY Jan. 22 @ 12pm
Are you interested in submitting a proposal for a 2013 Engagement Impact Grant, OSU CARES/OSU Extension Seed Grant or Service-Learning Grant, but have questions on how to do so? Then join representatives from the Office of Outreach and Engagement, OSU CARES/OSU Extension, and the Service-Learning Initiative on Tuesday (1/22) at 12:00 p.m. in 385 Bricker Hall to have your questions answered and to learn more about the grants. The proposal submission deadline is Friday (3/8). Visit http://outreachgrants.osu.edu to access the RFPs and find more information.

GE Open Option Information Session Friday, January 25th @ 12pm
The Service-Learning Initiative is excited to announce that the General Education (GE) Open Option designation is now available for approved s-designated courses. The GE Open Option allows approved s-designated courses to fulfill elective hour GE requirements for undergraduates. We are excited about this opportunity to make service-learning even more widely accessible to our undergraduate students, and we will be encouraging faculty to request the S/GE Open Option designation for their courses. In order to answer questions about the GE Open Option and provide further assistance, we would like to invite you to join us for an S/GE Information Session this Friday, January 25th at 12:00pm in Thompson Library  165.
