Reminder: GE Open Option for service-learning courses

The Service-Learning Initiative is excited to announce that the General Education (GE) Open Option designation is now available for approved s-designated courses. The GE Open Option allows approved s-designated courses to fulfill elective hour GE requirements for undergraduates. This will make service-learning courses even more valuable to undergraduates, ultimately boosting course enrollment and making service-learning a key piece of the undergraduate academic experience. We are excited about this opportunity to make service-learning even more widely accessible to our undergraduate students, and we will be encouraging faculty to request the S/GE Open Option designation for their courses.

In order to answer questions about the GE Open Option and provide further assistance, we would like to invite you to join us for an S/GE Information Session on January 18th or January 25th at 12:00pm in Thompson Library, room 156.
