<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">The Service-Learning Initiative is excited to announce that the General Education (GE) Open Option designation is now available for approved s-designated courses. The GE Open Option allows approved
s-designated courses to fulfill elective hour GE requirements for undergraduates. This will make service-learning courses even more valuable to undergraduates, ultimately boosting course enrollment and making service-learning a key piece of the undergraduate
academic experience. We are excited about this opportunity to make service-learning even more widely accessible to our undergraduate students, and we will be encouraging faculty to request the S/GE Open Option designation for their courses.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
