Education Abroad Discussion Series: International Service-Learning Panel

October 25th, 12pm in 156 University Hall

Join us tomorrow for a panel discussion about international service-learning at Ohio State.  The Service-learning Initiative will be joined by Professor John Merrill (Director of First Year Engineering Programs) and Professor Jen Gilbride-Brown (Senior Lecturer, Higher Education & Student Affairs). Professor Merrill has considerable experience leading students on international service-learning programs; over the past several years, his engineering cohorts have worked with Montana de Luz<http://www.montanadeluz.org/>, a hospice and orphanage for children with HIV/AIDS in Honduras. Professor Gilbride-Brown teaches the Education Policy & Leadership graduate course (EDUPL 7558) on administering service-learning programs and oversees the implementation of the undergraduate service-learning course (EDUPL 2571). She is currently designing an international service-learning experience in Ecuador.  This panel discussion will take place on October 25th from 12-1pm at 156 University Hall.  This event is a part of the Education Abroad Discussion Series and is presented in partnership with the Office of International Affairs. All interested staff and faculty are invited to attend.
