The Spring 2012 Course List is Now Live! The Service-Learning Initiative has compiled a list of all of Ohio State's service-learning courses for Spring 2012. This list is the best way to get connected with service-learning courses next quarter. The Service-Learning Initiative at the Annual Conference on Leadership and Civic Engagement (ACLCE) This Sunday, Ola and Harmony will be presenting two sessions at the ACLCE at the Ohio Union. Titled "Service-Learning 101", the session is meant to help students who are interested in service-learning find ways to get involved. We hope to see you there! WGSST 389: Peer Power: Theory and Practice of Peer Outreach in Women's Studies A course associated with The Girls Circle Project at OSU.  This  class provides women with theories and concepts that give them a deeper understanding of the girls they are leading in Girls Circles in Columbus schools and agencies and transforms them, through discussions, projects and purposeful reflection, into more knowledgeable women and facilitators.   Note:  The course is only open to women who are a part of The Girls Circle Project at OSU. Resources and Opportunities

Opportunity Nation conference at Otterbein University Seeks Presenters The Women and the New American Dream summit invites collegiate and community partners to participate in a regional dialogue about the role of higher education in ensuring future opportunities for women. The conference includes a focus on building civic leadership opportunities for women, and has a planned track (Building Capacities to Flourish) that includes sessions on service-learning. They are currently seeking proposals for various types of presentations on this theme. This conference will take place from March 9th-10th at Otterbein University. Imagining America Call for Proposals Imagining America (IA) has undertaken a project to build capacity for linking diversity and public engagement at partner institutions across the nation. They are seeking proposals for workshops on the theme "Building the Architecture of Inclusion Through Higher Education: Sustaining and Scaling Full Participation at the Intersection of Public Engagement and Diversity". Conflict Resolution Education Conference features Service-Learning training workshop On March 14th, the International Conference on Conflict Resolution Education will kick-off with a pre-conference training on service-learning  in Cleveland.
