[Ohiogift] Mensa Qualification Test April, May 2021 in Kettering (near Dayton)

Dayton Area Mensa, the local chapterof the high IQ society Mensa (https://urldefense.com/v3/__http://www.us.mensa.org__;!!KGKeukY!kqTUbOOpoB5daIh6JE7rcPdliebdadVMvv2cQ64YnuOaRHXFkWAFpUPcKCt2irTHNrT6$ ) will offer the society’s membership qualification test on Thursdays, April22 and May 20, 2021, starting at 6 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Dorothy LaneAmerican Baptist Church, 960 W. Dorothy Lane, Kettering (across from Community Golf Course). 

The test takes about two hours. Test-takers shouldarrive and sign in 15-20 minutes before start time. Late-arrivals cannot beaccommodated once testing has started. Those who score in the top 2 per centof the general public on either of two tests of logic and reasoning will beinvited to join Mensa. Face masks covering the nose and mouth will be requiredat all times while inside the building, and safe social distancing will bemaintained at all times. A maximum of six test-takers can be accommodated andpre-registrants will have priority. If you can’t wear a mask, we may be able toschedule you for a test after the public health situation improves. As onepublic health expert said, “The virus is in charge.”

American Mensa is not for profit butmust cover expenses including paying for the right to use a copyrighted test. Fora test administered by a local group’s volunteer proctor the national officecharges $60 to evaluate and report the candidate’s test results.Persons14 years old but less than 18 must have a parent or guardian signfor permission to take the test although the parent/guardian need not bepresent during the testing session. We can provide the permission form inadvance upon request and they will be available at the testing session. Thetest Mensa uses is not valid for persons under 14 years of age, who mayqualify by other means.
