More details about the study:

We developing an instrument to assess teachers' perception of wisdom. We need approximately 300 teachers in the USA. We are asking our participants to complete a survey regarding their implicit beliefs of wisdom. This study has been approved by the Purdue University Institutional Review Board (#1901021625).

With pressing issues such as climate change, political unrest, and social inequality, the world needs wise leaders. According to Sternberg (2017), wisdom might be our only hope to solve 21st century problems. The 20th century demonstrated the undesirable and unethical ways in which knowledge, creativity, and intelligence were resourced, developed, and applied. Teaching and cultivating wisdom in educational settings can be accomplished, but teachers' attitudes toward such an endeavor are critical as one of the determining factors that affects the efficacy of a learning program is teachers' perceptions.
