*The Springfield City School District is seeking a K-12 Gifted Intervention
Specialist to work in our District. Provide instructions
for students achieving at their highest potential of educational growth
based on your innovative ideas and concepts.  We are dedicated to providing
quality education to all students.  Be a part of the continuous improvement
that Springfield City School District strives to maintain.Successful
candidates will possess or have applied for a Gifted license or endorsement
from the Ohio Department of Education.   The successful candidate will
demonstrate the following:*



   - *Assists in the assessment and identification of gifted students*
   - *Assists in the placement of gifted students in appropriate
   educational services and settings*
   - *Assists school personnel in the development, appropriate
   dissemination, evaluation and revision of Written Education Plans for
   gifted students as required by the Ohio Administrative Code.*
   - *Provides curricular coaching assistance to the general education
   teachers serving gifted students*
   - *Collaborates with general education teachers serving gifted
   students in the implementation of student Written Education Plan*
   - *Provides ongoing high-quality professional development for teachers
   serving gifted students in the cluster classroom model*
   - *Assists school personnel in ensuring district compliance with
   accountability requirements for gifted students as required by the Ohio
   Administrative Code.*
   - *Meets regularly with the Gifted/Talented Coordinator*
   - *Understands the complexities of the gifted learner process and is
   able to design and support practices that help the teacher be successful.*
   - *Provide instruction in the resource room for students with superior
   cognition. *



*As set forth in our negotiated agreement, teachers work 183 days per year.*



*Starting wage is $37,789.00 increases with additional education and
