The West Central Ohio Association for Gifted Children (WCOAGC) meeting on May 3 will focus on science and take place at the Montgomery Co. ESC, 200 S. Keowee St., in Dayton. An overview of this exciting event is below; full details, including deadlines and registration, are in the attached flier. This daylong event is open to WCOAGC members and non-members alike. STEM Science Spectacular!
Friday, May 3, 2019
8:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Have you ever wanted to start a STEM or PBL experience for your students but are unsure where to begin? Join us for Science Spectacular where participants will take away classroom ready PBL and STEM curriculum, engineering design challenges, and innovation techniques that support the social and emotional needs of gifted learners. This session will provide an overall enriched understanding of how to implement high-quality, hands-on, project-based learning while addressing the needs of gifted students.

Targeted grade-level audience: 3rd-5th teachers and coordinators.

Event Schedule:
8:30 - 9:00 Registration
9:00 - 11:30 AM session
11:30 Lunch Provided
12:30 - 3:00 PM session
Participants will receive 5 gifted professional development contact hours in the following competencies: a-c.
