Do you want to empower girls in your classroom and give them voice?  Jerry
Spinelli's book of the same title has inspired a group called the Stargirl
Society.  The program was featured in Time Magazine for Kids.  In this
program girls are in engaged in dialogue and meaningful activities relating
to issues girls face today, service projects, and a focus on the Arts,
creativity, and problem solving.  These activities are included in the
