[Ohiogift] professional learning opportunity over the winter break

Dear Colleagues,

I know that you're getting ready for a well-deserved break after a really BUSY fall!  But I wanted you to be aware of two classes that are coming up over the Winter session at the University of Iowa (December 28 - January 13).

I'll be facilitating EDTL:4085:0WKA Current Readings and Research for one semester hour; if you are working on your TAG endorsement from the state of Iowa, this class can fall into either the Psychology strand, the Programming strand, or the Administrative strand, depending on the readings you pursue.

MORE importantly, though, for any of you working with twice-exceptional students, Dr. Alissa Doobay is offering EDTL:4096:0WKA (Topics in Teaching and Learning):  Nurturing the Potential of Twice-Exceptional Students: Practical Guidelines for Understanding and Supporting 2e Students.  This one-hour workshop will allow you to focus on the needs of a specific student,  or more general understand the nature and needs of 2e kids so that you can be better prepared to work with them in the new year! (The class falls in the Psychology strand).  This opportunity would also be worthwhile for parents of 2e kids.
