Subject: The Elect


I realize that being for low-income gifted kids is more proof
of a person's place among The Elect, as it were, but there
are lots and lots and lots of middle- and upper-income
gifted kids who are not being asked to read one nonfiction
book or write one serious term paper in high school,
and-guess what-we need their giftedness too! We
need all the challenging academic chances we can give
to gifted kids, whatever their parents' income, IMHO.
