[Ohiogift] The Elect

[Will Fitzhugh]

I realize that being for low-income gifted kids is more proof
of a person’s place among The Elect, as it were, but there
are lots and lots and lots of middle- and upper-income
gifted kids who are not being asked to read one nonfiction
book or write one serious term paper in high school,
and—guess what—we need their giftedness too! We
need all the challenging academic chances we can give
to gifted kids, whatever their parents’ income, IMHO.
