[Ohiogift] STEM initiative, scholarships and competition

 Ohio’s high school students will compete for more than $1.6 million in awards and scholarships in the 2014-2015 school year from a STEM commercialization and entrepreneurship plan competition through a new program of the Ohio Board of Regents (OBR) and The Ohio Academy of Science (OAS). The balance of the $5 million project funding will underwrite related grassroots programs that include regional STEM commercialization and entrepreneurship forums, a real-world student mentor program and online courses that feature an extensive array of STEM research and development initiatives.
 
 Entitled “Believe in Ohio–A STEM Bridge to Ohio’s Innovation Economy of the Future”, the program will develop a statewide youth entrepreneurial STEM ecosystem to support the developing innovation economy of the State of Ohio.
