[Ohiogift] SENG Training at World Gifted Conference in Louisville, August 10-14th

Do you want to become a SENG Model Parent Group (SMPG) facilitator AND attend the World Gifted Conference in Louisville, KY?  Here's a special deal that I just now noticed.

When I visited http://worldgifted2013.org/programme.htmland then clicked on the "SENG Training" link, I found this: "There
will be a special reduced WCGTC conference rate for those who also
register for the SMPG Facilitator Training. Click here for the special
registration rate." Then I clicked and saw this: " SENG Conference
Participants rate: $300"

So, it appears that if you want to be trained as a SENG Model Parent
Group facilitator during the day on August 10th before the conference
starts that evening and on the following day until 1pm, you can pay $300 and
get *BOTH* the SENG training (which usually costs about that much anyway) and
the World Conference. Nice!

If you're a gifted coordinator or teacher, perhaps pass this information onto some of the parents in your district?

Thanks to Heather for letting us know that the OAGC conference will include an information session on SENG Model Parent Groups. I'm guessing that the Louisville opportunity is the best bet, travel-wise, that Ohio residents will see in a long time. Ah, if only folks could time-travel backwards from the OAGC conference next year to August 10-14 for the SENG training at the World Gifted conference.

Cheers,
Wenda

Hi Wenda and fellow Ohiogifters,

We will also be having an informational session at OAGC this fall about SENG Model Parent Groups. This is not a training, but will give you a good sense of what they are and the incredible benefits surrounding these groups.

Cheers,
Heather
