OAGC March News Flash: Advocacy & More

Policy/Advocacy

Biennial Budget Information

The Ohio House Finance Primary and Secondary Education Committee finished up
hearings this week. To review all budget documents related to the state budget,
please go [1]www.oagc.com/?q=statebudget . A new[2]Advocacy Alert is also
available. As the General Assembly will be heading into Spring break, these
alerts will not be posted until again until the second week of April unless
something unexpected develops. Gifted advocates need to continue to contact
House representatives and Senators now to let them know that the funding and
accountability provisions for gifted included in HB 59 as introduced need
substantial work to be adequate for this population.
