[OHIOBWG] Bat Week Proclamation signed

Hi everyone – I am excited to let you all know that The Governor and Lieutenant Governor both signed a proclamation to commemorate Oct. 24-31, 2019 as National Bat Week in Ohio. This is part of an effort from the Bat Week organizers to get a proclamation signed in all 50 states. Huge thank you to the OBWG Education committee and to Becky Crow of the OWRA for helping make this happen!

We are holding a small kickoff event tomorrow to announce the proclamation. It will be shared on the Division of Wildlife facebook/Instagram pages, so please try to re-share from your own social media accounts if you can to help spread the word! There will also be a press release put out in the next few days.

We’re excited to have the support of the Governor and we hope that this will mean big things for bat conservation in the future! 😊
