Good Afternoon,

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has posted the US Army Engineer Research and Development Center's (ERDC) free automated acoustic identification software (version 1.0) and instructions for use on its Indiana Bat Summer Survey Guidance website (http://www.fws.gov/midwest/Endangered/mammals/inba/inbasummersurveyguidance.html). As updated software versions are produced, we will ensure that the most current version is made available at this site. So, please make sure to bookmark and check this website frequently (especially during this initial year of use), as the ERDC works through any technical bugs. Please note that links to other currently available automated acoustic ID software programs are/will be posted on this page too. Once a final version of the Revised Indiana Bat Summer Survey Guidance is announced (planned for the first quarter of 2013), we will also indicate which software program(s) are Service-approved for conducting bat call analyses for presence/probable absence surveys.
