The Forest Service is proud to be a lead partner for BatsLIVE: A Distance Learning Adventure<http://batslive.pwnet.org/>. BatsLIVE is an engaging, comprehensive education program that provides a wide variety of free, online resources and opportunities for you to learn more about bats, and teach more about bats! Supported by a broad coalition of partners, BatsLIVE offers teacher webinars, and a live broadcast for children and their educators on May 17. *         May 17, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. EDT - BatsLIVE-A Distance Learning Adventure - BatsLIVE is a FREE, live electronic field trip for students in grades 4 - 8. This program will feature live bats and include information about bats' roles in ecosystems, myths, threats to bats, and how to help these beneficial creatures.  Leading bat biologists will be presenters, and kids and their educators will be able to interact and ask questions in this dynamic, engaging and educational program.
