BATS Research Center is offering a bat banding tool for the Porzana 2.9mm bat band.  The tool allows a reseacher/bander to hold the band and crimp it in place with little effort while minimizing wing membrane damage from over-crimping or ovaling the band.  The tool is field proven on over 1200 bats with good results - even in the hands of relatively in-experience banders.  We also offer a band removal tool that safely and easily removes damaged bands - or bands that have caused damage - from bat wings with no additional trama to the wing/forearm.
