The MVAPICH team is pleased to announce the release of MVAPICH2-GDR
2.1a.

MVAPICH2-GDR 2.1a is based on the standard MVAPICH2 2.1a release and
incorporates designs that take advantage of the new GPUDirect RDMA
technology for inter-node data movement on NVIDIA GPUs clusters with
Mellanox InfiniBand interconnect.

Features, Enhancements, and Bug Fixes for MVAPICH2-GDR 2.1a are listed
here.

* Features and Enhancements (since MVAPICH2-GDR 2.0):

  - Based on MVAPICH2 2.1a (OFA-IB-CH3 interface)
  - Optimized design for GPU based small message transfers
  - Adding R3 support for GPU based packetized transfer
  - Enhanced performance for small message host-to-device transfers
  - Support for MPI_Scan and MPI_Exscan collective operations
    from GPU buffers
  - Optimization of collectives with new copy designs

* Bug-Fixes (since MVAPICH2-GDR 2.0):

  - Fix issue in one-sided tests with post-start-complete-wait
    synchronization
  - Fix error with void pointer arithmetic for PGI compiler
  - Fix issue in CUDA-aware MPI_Unpack
  - Fix compiler warnings and memory leaks

MVAPICH2-GDR 2.1a release requires the following software to be
installed on your system:

  - Mellanox OFED 2.1 or later
  - NVIDIA Driver 331.20 or later
  - NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit 6.0 or later
  - Plugin module to enable GPUDirect RDMA
  - (Strongly recommended) NVIDIA GDRCOPY module
