Hi Mark,
Thanks for your question. MVAPICH allows a user to differentiate
between installations of different devices (ch_gen2, ch_gen2_multirail,
udapl, vapi, vapi_multirail) using mpirun_rsh -v option.
As an example, on our cluster, installation of MVAPICH 0.9.9 with
ch_gen2_multirail device leads to the following:
[vishnu at cs-login bin]$ ./mpirun_rsh -v
OSU MVAPICH VERSION 0.9.9-MultiRail
Build-ID: custom
Similarly for ch_gen2 (single-rail MVAPICH device over OpenFabrics), you
should see the following, with the command above:
OSU MVAPICH VERSION 0.9.9-SingleRail
Build-ID: custom
