We have successfully tested all mvapich versions with Mellanox's VAPI
stack (available with IBGD) and there are no problems. Many other
users are also running it in the same manner and they do not see this
problem.

If some VAPI functions and/or parameters are different in
Silverstorm's stack/driver, there could be some problem. As I
indicated in my earlier reply, we do not have access to this
stack. Silverstorm people should be able to extend help to you on
this.

Gen2 is emerging as a `vendor neutral' stack .... basically to avoid
the type of problem you are seeing. It is also gaining momentum in the
InfiniBand community. Thus, you may switch to it.
