University of Southern California Non-Tenure-Track Lecturer Positions in East Asian Languages and Cultures, 2016-2017
The Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, may have one or more openings for non-tenure-track (NTT) lecturers for the 2016-17 academic year, full-time and part-time, to assist with undergraduate instruction. Areas of potential need include East Asian film, modern to contemporary literature, performance, and media studies. Experience in teaching large lecture style courses is valued. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a relevant area of Chinese, Korean, or Japanese studies by the start of the appointment and must demonstrate teaching excellence in the relevant areas. To apply, please submit a curriculum vitae, a cover letter that includes a statement of teaching interests, recent teaching evaluations, and the names of three individuals who will be contacted by USC for letters of reference. At least two of the referees should speak to teaching abilities. Review of material is to begin on February 25, 2016.
