QUEER COMRADES
they say they aren't wrong
you are the wrong one
they say you as they imagine you aren't wrong
wrong are you as you are
they say there's nothing wrong with their direction
only those are wrong who help you
to find your own
whatever they love becomes holy writ whatever they envy you is of the devil
you want to say
they aren't wrong
you aren't either
you don't get it out of your lips
you want to say
love isn't wrong
neither is not to love
they say you are wrong
you are wrong
wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong
wrong are the rainforest, the clouded leopard, Sumatra rhinos
any peacefully living soon extinct being
wrong is a tired reindeer that flees
and doesn't pull Santa's sleigh anymore
wrong is anyone who loves someone
and is called all sorts of names
wrong is the world as it really is
you want to ask
does civilization mean
the world cannot be as it is
or could it mean to understand it?
you want to ask
can red beans only join green beans
or do you need love for two beans to be one?
you want to ask
is faith a filter
a pinhole
or is it a rainbow?
you want to ask
you would like to ask
but even before you open your mouth they say you’re wrong
then let's be wrong
because the earth has always been slanted
otherwise we could have no seasons
so let us peacefully live full of hope
on an earth that is wrong
let those people who' re right
live on in their imagined hell
they call heaven
