Sound recording legend in China?
Dear All,
A colleague of mine is preparing a course on the history of sound recording and collecting all legends and texts dealing with the remaining and recording of sound. Through his research he has found the following statement: “a Chinese legend has it that 2000 years ago, a Chinese messenger has ‘locked up’ an oral message from his lord to announce his victory to the Emperor”. I have no idea what this legend can be, any suggestion very welcome!
Many thanks in advance.
